we will use Pen, Marquee, Dodge, Burn tools and other
effects. Photoshop’s three tone controls live in the same spot
in the toolbox. They are the Dodge tool, the Burn
tool and the Sponge tool (which won’t be covered here).
1. Open a new document in Photoshop of any size and fill with a nice
background . Here I use Gradient tool (Foreground color to
#FFFFFF Background color to #D8D8D8)to fill
the document.
2. First to start with the toilet cover. On a new layer create the top
of the toilet cover shape using PEN tool.
3. Then Right-click on the shape, select Make Selection and
apply the setting as shown.
 
4. Now its time to fill the selection with a nice color. Here I use #FCD503.
Your top of the toilet cover in almost completed.
5. By following the above steps create another shape above the yellow
shape (to highlight the logo) on a new layer and fill with #D8D8D8.
 
6. Hide the new layer and select the yellow shape layer. Now select
the Dodge Tool (The Dodge Tool lightens an area of an image.).
Now roughly sketch the parts of the image where you want the shadows to be.
It is important to consider where the light source will be (marked by arrow
in the image bellow).
7. The planes color of the toilet cover are being carefully
developed as you refine and add lighter colors (using Dodge Tool)
to the toilet cover. You do not need to try and blend the color, you just
apply the Dodge Tool around the edges of the toilet cover
(as shown below). You can change your dodge brush size and opacity (here i
use 50% opacity) according to your requirements.
 
8. Select the Burn Tool (The Burn Tool darken
an area of an image.). Here also roughly sketch the parts of the image where
you want the shadows to be (marked by arrow in the image bellow).
9. Next, we want to do the shadows the same way we did on the
above but using Burn Tool carefully. Here also you do not need to try and
blend the color, you just apply the Burn Tool around toilet
cover (as shown below).
 
10. This is what I made by following above steps.
11. Now it's time to color other part of the toilet cover. Un-hide
the grey shape layer you made earlier and roughly sketch the parts of the
image where you want the shadows to be (marked by arrow in the image bellow).
12. Apply the Dodge and Burn
tool by following the above steps to get the shape as shown below:
13. Create an Apple Logo above all also by using pen tool. Apply
Dodge and Burn tool around the edges (marked
by arrow in the image bellow).
 
14. Now create the bottom of the apple toilet shape by using
Pen tool and fill with #CDCDCC color. Roughly
sketch the parts of the image where you want the shadows to be (marked by
arrow in the image bellow).
 
15. Apply Dodge and Burn tool
around the bottom of the apple toilet as shown below:
 
 
16. Now we’re very close to being finished. To add shadow,
create a shape of the apple toilet and fill with #ABABA8
color. Then press Ctrl + T and place as shown below.
 
17. Place the shadow layer just above the background layer and
set the Opacity to 20%. Here’s the
finished picture.
