1. Select a circular shape from the textureand then
press Ctrl+C to copy it.
2. Select File>New and
click OK.
3. Select Image>Canvas size.
3. Enter a number that's about 15 pixels or so bigger than
the number currently displayed in the Width and Height.
4. The image should look like this.
5. Press Ctrl+click to select the circular shape and
Choose Filter> Distort> Spherize.
6. Set the Amount to 100% and the Mode
to Normal.
7. Now the image seems more spherical.
8. With the selection still active press Ctrl+N
to create a new layer above the texture layer.
9. Switch the foreground color to white and
the background color to black. Select the Gradient tool and,
in the option palette, choose Foreground to Background as
the Gradient and Radial as the Type.
10. Place the mouse in the upper-left of the
sphere, click-and-drag the mouse towards the lower-right of the sphere. Now
you will have a filled sphere over the textured sphere.
11. Change the layer blend mode to Hard
Light.
12. The Hard Light mode allow
the textured layer to show through the radial gradient fill
13.Select Image> Adjust>Hue/Saturation.
14. Select the Colorize option and play around
with the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness.
14. Now this is the final image.
